Santa Elena Hostel Resort Monteverde, Monteverde

I had a lovely stay at this hostel in Monteverde! The views from the rooms are stunning, and the outdoor area with hammocks and a waterfall is beautiful. However, the Wi-Fi was not great, and my first experience with the female dorm was less than ideal due to cleanliness issues and poor shower pressure.

The hostel has a lot of potential with its beautiful outdoor area and friendly staff, but sadly, the inside needs significant improvements. The dorm room was quite messy, with issues like dirty bathrooms and poor water pressure in the showers. It was also a bit noisy from the unstable bunk beds, making for an uncomfortable stay overall. With better maintenance and cleanliness, this place could offer great value for money.

My stay at this hostel was less than ideal. The location was great, allowing for easy access to local restaurants. However, the noise levels were absurd, and my room was quite basic. Although the staff was somewhat helpful, I felt that the value for the money paid was not justified considering the various issues I encountered, particularly with sleep and amenities.

The hostel has a lovely environment that's tucked away from the main road, creating a safe and peaceful atmosphere. The staff were kind and accommodating, but I faced issues with their late-night guest policy, which seemed a bit excessive. The Wi-Fi was inconsistent and the breakfast was just okay, not really worth getting excited about.

The hotel was well-located, making it easy to explore nearby restaurants and activities. However, our experience was marred by poor sound insulation between rooms, leading to sleepless nights. Additionally, the hot water situation was unreliable, which was disappointing for the price we paid. Overall, we felt that the value for money wasn't quite there.
